6 PAC was formed by members of The Royal Northern College of Music Big Band in June 2002, with the aim of producing exciting new sounds within the context of a small jazz ensemble. With the Big Band, the members of the sextet have been fortunate enough to play with, amongst others, Bob Mintzer, Stan Tracey, Dave O'Higgins, Steve Waterman and Alan Ganley. Band members arrange all of the music that the band plays, and original compositions are increasingly becoming an important part of the band's reportoire.

They now have a PPRNCM diploma, and are the first chamber ensemble to receive the Gold Medal Award From the Royal Northern College of Music

6 PAC has a wide range of repertoire that can be adjusted to suit many different concert situations. You can contact them with any special requests two weeks prior to an engagement and they will endeavour to arrange them for you.
