Welcome to the full and funky sound of BIG NIGHT OUT; an eight piece outfit of funky musicians from Bristol. Drawing their influences from a wide range of music, primarily soul and funk, the band have been playing in different guises for some 16 years. Until 1996 to the recent changes the band have introduced local professional session players of the highest quality. As a live act they bring an energy which is enhanced by a complete and full sound. With a two hour live set comprising of a variety of influences such as Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power and James Brown.

Henry Ray on lead vocals provides the band with a perfect frontman; a powerful voice with and incredible range. Having been compared to James Brown and Terence Trent D'arby the native American has huge talent that should not be missed. Henry Ray has been touring professionally with other bands over the last 10 years and finally came to settle in England after completing a tour of Japan, he is now happy to play music for pleasure. Danny Connor on Bass and James Hester on Drums provide a solid platform for the likes of Jon Ley on guitar, John-Paul Gard on Keyboard and of course Jon Ford on Saxophone, Nick Attwood on Trombone and either Dave Ford or Andy Hague perviously of the grammy award winners 'Portishead' on Trumpet, this makes up a very powerful unit called ‘THE FLAT-OUT-FUNK HORNS'.
