The band has evolved into a  big, bold, seven-piece  tour de force  with cooler, hipper, funkier nu-northern soul sensibilities & featuring a sizzling new horn section (ex-Dexy's Midnight Runners/Specials), a new diminutive but big-voiced blue-eyed female vocalist and a teenage Hammond organist complete with Brian Wilson haircut!

One of the leading bands riding the cusp between the global mod and scooterist scenes, the mighty Midlands massive redefines its raison d'être , with its best sounding incarnation yet!

Instead of doing the same old stuff most soul bands do (i.e. Mustang Sally, the plethora of Blues Bros & Committments covers) we specialise in hipper, cooler northern soul tunes. Plus a sprinkling of classic mod/beat covers from bands like the Small Faces, Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger & The Trinity, Georgie Fame etc. The overall emphasis is firmly on the funkier, mod-side of soul....

DC Fontana is already a big name draw on the international mod & scooter scenes and we regularly headline festivals, scooter rallies and other soul, mod & scooter-related functions across the world. We have a good pedigree and we regularly play abroad as well as in the UK.

Now infused with a renewed indomitable spirit & bolstered by some great new additions to their line-up together with more interest in the band than ever before, the future has never looked so good for the outfit!
