The Manchester String Quartet have extensive experience providing music for functions, weddings and similar occasions with a wide repertoire of classical, jazz, blues, pop and bollywood theme tune arrangements. The Quartet have also provided backing tracks for Manchester bands. They have played for the Lord Mayor of Manchester on several occasions, including receptions for the Paralympic games and UEFA, as well as numerous weddings and functions all over the country.
The Quartet has been professionally engaged at over 70 weddings in the last three years and they are happy to tailor their service to your needs. Don't forget that your special song can be arranged by the quartet and incorporated into the service or reception. Below are wedding packages that we offer. Please enquire about prices and our hourly rates as they vary depending on location and requirements. For those who are worried about time limits, and we understand that wedding days never run exactly to plan, we have created a number of packages to suit your needs. |

Package One :: Service – as guests arrive (at least half an hour before expected beginning of service) |

Package Two ::We will be set up and playing at your drinks reception venue once the service is over. We will then move to your dining area and accompany your meal with relaxing repertoire until the serving of coffee. |

Package Three This package ensures that you have the ambience of the classical string quartet throughout your special day. It is a combination of package one and two and it ensures a variety of styles of music. (It is also cheaper than booking us per hour, for what could be up to 5 hours of our time). :: Service – Classical and Baroque repertoire including all the wedding favourites We will begin 20mins before start of service as the guests arrive and we will end once the coffee is served at the end of the meal. During the day we will take 3 short (10min) breaks and one longer break (half an hour) - when some light refreshments would be greatly appreciated.
