Since starting Pro Music UK Ltd, We have seen numerous band websites. Some are fantastic, but in the main they are undertaken by people with a limited amount of Internet technical knowledge within the band. Quite often they are poorly laid out, with too much unformatted text, no cohesion and a limited use or use of poorly taken images.

Cost

Obviously cost is the biggest issue for most bands, and musicians don't have a tremendous amount of disposable income to be throwing around. However, BIG Media Design offer their special packages to bands from £250 - £500 only. Work that out between a band of 5 thats £100 per member - basically usually one gig fee. Once the website is set-up, the band benefits for the rest of the year i.e. the website pays for itself.

For single musicians the cost could be as little as £150 depending on what is required. The costs above do not include costs for hosting and domin registration - however this can be arranged.
